Signature Group and Cookmix Company Limited sign an MOU to strengthen partnership and enhance Signature Kitchen’s brand outreach in Vietnam

On 2nd Nov 2019, The Signature Group, Malaysia’s leading kitchen manufacturer and retailer of the Signature Kitchen brand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cookmix Company Ltd., a company in Vietnam specializing in the supply and retail of kitchen appliances and household products with 30 showrooms from North to South of Vietnam. This collaboration is to strengthen the strategic partnership between both companies, and work together to solidify their retail outreach in Vietnam.

The MOU signing event was held during the Grand Opening of first Cookmix’s Signature Kitchen showroom, the Frico Lifestyle Centre at Vincom Tran Duy Hung in the presence of the key executives of both companies, including Signature’s Group Executive Director, Dato’ Chooi Yoey Sun and Retail Director, Mr Lau Kock Sang, and Bolter Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ng Boon Keat and Cookmix Director Ms Hoang Thi Nhu Y. The Grand Opening was also attended by Mr Suresh Kaliyana Sundram, the Minister Counsellor (Economy) from the Malaysian Embassy in Hanoi, local developers and distinguished guests.

The MOU is expected to strengthen Signature Kitchen’s presence in Vietnam by leveraging Cookmix’s competitive standing in Vietnam’s retail market for kitchen appliances and retail expansion strategy for accelerated growth in an extensive network of 30 new showrooms at Frico Lifestyle Centres throughout Vietnam in the next 3 years.

“This MoU is in line with our plans for strategic growth in the ASEAN region,” said Dato’ Chooi, “We see Vietnam as a market with great potential. I feel this partnership is a great synergy between Signature and Cookmix, and we are excited to combine our kitchen expertise with Cookmix's premium quality appliances to create an integrated kitchen systems solution and cooking experience for our customers."

Under the MoU, Signature Kitchen will play an integral role as the exclusive kitchen cabinetry in all of Cookmix’s network of new showrooms which will feature its latest kitchen collection – the Signature Premium Series.
